My Mericcup Christmas Contest entry. Mericcup decorating the tree for Christmas. I like Hicstrid, I like Astrid and I think she and Hiccup look good together, though I also thing Hiccup is shippable with Merida too, maybe like an alternative universe or something...
I'm not entirely sure what was going on in the scene, I have two scenarios I thought while doing it. One, they were like newly weds (very young, I know) and they're spending their first Christmas together after marrying. And two, Stoick had to go away like in a business trip, maybe caught up by the weather and Hiccup was alone, so his good friend Merida visited him to cheer him up and help him decorate the house. Maybe he could even have some "Christmas issues" for spending it by himself when he was young, who knows? Maybe I'll even draw a "Big Four" version for this scenario, so not only Merida, but also Jack and Rapunzel could cheer him up.

I tried to maintain a similar color palette from their movies, but with a modern touch. Merida's shirt and sweater colors are similar to the dress she uses at the beginning of the movie and the skirt have the colors from the second dress, the fancy one her mother made her use, even though she could barely breath in it. Hiccup is using green, though I liked it darker and with jeans, the red came from his arm-thingy in the second movie.

Minha entrada para o concurso de Natal Mericcup. Eu gosto de Hicstrid, gosto da Astrid e acho que ela e o Soluço ficam bem juntos, no entanto também acho que ele combina com a Merida, talvez em um universo alternativo ou algo assim...
Não tenho certeza do que estaria acontecendo na cena, tenho dois possíveis cenários enquanto desenhava. O primeiro, eles seriam tipo recém-casados (bem jovens, eu sei) e estariam passando o primeiro Natal deles depois de casados. E o segundo, Estóico teria saído para uma viagem e ficou preso por causa do tempo ruim e o Soluço ficou sozinho, então, sua boa amiga Merida decidiu animá-lo e ajudá-lo a decorar a casa. Talvez ele tenha algum "trauma natalino" por passar a data sozinho quando pequeno, quem sabe? Talvez eu faça uma versão "The Big Four" para esse cenário, então não apenas a Merida, mas também o Jack e a Rapunzel forma animá-lo.

Tentei manter uma paleta de cores parecida com o dos filmes, mas com um toque moderno. O sweater e a blusa da Merida tem as cores do vestido que ela usa no início do filme e a saia tem as cores do segundo vestido, o chique que a mãe a obriga usar mesmo ela não conseguindo respirar. O Soluço está de verde, mas em tons mais escuros e com jeans, o vermelho veio da 'ombreira' dele no segundo filme.
